Welcome to The Viewsroom with Jim 'Pfif' Pfiffer & Cat 'AWAC' White, where former Gannett journalists share their thoughts on news and entertainment issues of the day as well as reminisce about their time in the Elmira Star-Gazette newsroom.

Currently, Jim Pfiffer writes a (sometimes) weekly humor blog "Full of Wit," illustrated by artist and entrepreneur Filomena Jack of Filomena Jack Studios. That is, when he's not leading river canoe tours, playing with his rambunctious pooch, Kody, and enjoying the good life with his patient wife, Shelley.
Born and raised in Elmira, NY, Cat White spent close to a decade in the Elmira Star-Gazette newsroom, learning a lot about her hometown, the surrounding communities and people she covered during her tenure. ​After moving to Austin, TX in 2010, Cat incorporated writing into her work for a statewide nonprofit for nurses before becoming Managing Editor of Southern Tier Life website and owner of BlakCat Media.
In every episode of The Viewsroom, Pfif and AWAC will sound off on current events, from the important to the insignificant, and sometimes there will be guests!
