Welcome to The Viewsroom with Cat White, where former Elmiran/current Austin Texan Cat White shares her thoughts, perspective and wisdom on topics concerning the Southern Tier and beyond.
Born and raised in Elmira, NY, Cat spent close to a decade in the Elmira Star-Gazette newsroom after finishing college at SUNY New Paltz. She learned a lot about her hometown, the surrounding communities and people she covered during her tenure as a Features reporter, columnist and assistant editor for the newspaper.
After moving to Texas in 2010, Cat incorporated writing into her work as a government affairs coordinator for a statewide nonprofit for nurses before becoming the managing editor of Southern Tier Life website and owner of BlakCat Media.
In every episode of The Viewsroom podcast, Cat will sound off on the stuff she's thinking about, from the important to the insignificant, and sometimes there will be guests!
