Designer Opportunities for Past Meets Present Fashion Show Collaboration

Attention: Southern Tier Designers!

Runway For A Cause and Corning-Painted Post Historical Society have put out a call for fashion designers, tailors and those interested in creating and designing to be included in the Runway For A Cause Past Meets Present Fashion Show, to be held on Saturday, June 8 at Staybridge Suites in Corning.

The fashion show, which is open to all skill levels, challenges designers to create two to four pieces, incorporating a piece of clothing or accessory from the 1796 to 1878 time period.

The collaboration between the nonprofit fashion company and the historical society provides an opportunity for the designers (and the public) to learn about fashions from the past in an interactive and unique way, and envisioning how the past can connect to present day. There will also be a VIP event where designers will be able to share their stories and inspirations for the designs they created for the show.

Get details on how to apply to participate in the fashion show, or just to add the event information to your calendar for an interesting event to attend in June, here.
